Taschino Street Sud

We ate at this little restaurant on the waterfront, in the Brindisi port area. The atmosphere was lovely, with fairy lights and outdoor tables or comfortable armchairs. The cuisine is typical of Puglia, served in "taschini" (small triangles of soft, toasted bread) or on the classic plate. We tried the octopus alla pignata, stracciatella, anchovies, and grilled vegetables. Everything was delicious. The price was fair: €22 for all the dishes you see in the first photo. We definitely recommend it.

A really cool place for delicious snacks/street food, and for sitting with a chilled wine with a great view of the promenade and port. In the evenings, you can feel that this is a place pulsating with energy and a nice atmosphere. The smells will attract you as you pass by - it's worth taking a break there and stopping for their specialties. We ate 4 different ones - we almost tore them out of our hands, and they were so good that I forgot to even take pictures! PS: recommended by a local who rented us an apartment.

Simply the place where I ate the best in Brindisi. The taschinos, sort of triangular sandwiches closed at the bottom to keep the contents inside and avoid getting dirty, are a brilliant idea. And the one with the bombette was truly delicious. If you go to Brindisi, a real must-try.

I'm in Brindisi for work, and while strolling along the seafront, I'm drawn to this outdoor location with its many suspended lights. I stop and, reading the menu, immediately decide to order from the friendly staff and sit at a table. Well, what can I say? The taschino, whether filled with octopus, sausage, meatballs, stracciatella, or anything else, is truly delicious, as are the bruschetta with melted caciocavallo cheese and toppings of your choice. Everything was washed down with a very cold draft beer, and a nice Negroni was a perfect finish to the meal. I returned the next evening to try more taschino, so I highly recommend it.

Very satisfied! The sandwiches are really good and original, the orders are very fast (we went on a Friday night) and the remote control is very convenient, so you can sit down and get up as soon as it's ready. We tried both the sweet and the savory ones. The savory one is really invincible, a delicious flavor that I recommend to everyone. The sweet one, in reality, is nothing more than bread and Nutella, so good but nothing extraordinary. The vegetarian sandwich with smoked buffalo mozzarella and various vegetables is, instead, truly breathtaking. The price is quite affordable, so I really recommend it. The location is also excellent.

I took a walk here along the water and stopped for a drink. The limoncello spritz was one of the best I've had in Brindisi. It's a lovely little town.
